80-year-old Mrs Townsend has been living in the family home in London for nearly 40 years and for the last 15 she has lived alone. She has decided to move to a smaller house in the Cotswolds, closer to her daughter Lucy. One of her sons lives in Yorkshire, the other in California.
Her children know that sorting all her possessions will be a huge task that requires a lot of support, which they cannot give because of family and professional commitments. Lucy heard about Good Sorts from a friend and gets in touch. A few days after an initial face-to-face consultation, Good Sorts sends a detailed plan that takes into account everything they discussed, including the timeframe and a clear explanation of the process and costs.
A manageable move and a fresh start in a new home, with all her favourite things.
Mrs Townsend decides she wants the Good Sorts team to come one day a week for six weeks. At the end of each day, she is left with a carefully organised and arranged category. She and Lucy can review one category at a time, making decisions as they go along. It is a special time for them sharing memories of family occasions. Her sons are kept in the loop over Skype and email. The decisions are made with the minimum of stress and everything is marked with the Good Sorts colour-coded tags and labels.

Once the decisions are made, Good Sorts helps Mrs Townsend implement them. They carefully pack and deliver some gifts for her grandchildren and provide contact details for a saleroom expert who can advise her on her antique furniture. Finally, she asks Good Sorts to supervise the removers on the day of the move whilst her daughter drives her to her new home.
